Gloucester City Homes (GCH) managed the council's housing stock as an arms-length management organisation from the mid-2000s before taking full ownership via a large-scale voluntary transfer in 2015 (around 4,488 homes); GCH, now an independent housing association, is the actual landlord for these ex-council leasehold properties, not Gloucester City Council
