Maidstone Borough Council transferred its housing stock to the newly formed Maidstone Housing Trust (now Golding Homes) via Large Scale Voluntary Transfer in 2004; the council is no longer a stock-owning authority (has no Housing Revenue Account), and Golding Homes is the landlord for ex-council leasehold flats bought under Right to Buy
